Located in Howard County, Big Spring, TX, is a great place for booking a camping trip. It’s known for its easy access from all directions as its situation at the intersection of Interstate 20, U.S. Highway 87, Texas State Highway 350, and Texas State Highway 176. Big Spring got its name from the nearby “big spring” in Sulphur Draw, a watering hole for animals migrating through the area. During the heat of the summer, the Russ McEwen Family Aquatic Center is the place to be. With only a $5 admission fee, swimmers can access pools, slides, picnic facilities, a concession stand, and lounging areas. Long term residents may also choose to get a 12-punch pass for $50.

The RV sites are gravel but level. While the park is on the smaller side, it has nice reviews and a good storage area if you need to park the RV for a while when you’re not using it.
